Name: Nadine Zentgraf

Date of birth: 1985

Place of birth: Berlin, Germany

Early years and discovery of street art (1985 - 1999):

I was born in Berlin in 1985 and developed a strong interest in the world of street art at the tender age of 14. From the beginning, I was fascinated by the rebellious nature of this art form, which transformed constructions in public spaces in a unique way. However, I soon realized that the straightforward brushwork of graffiti did not fit into my creative repertoire. Instead, I began to focus intensively on the realistic asymmetry of the human body and began creating portraits. This experience laid the foundation for my later artistic development.

Education and search for my creative identity (2000 - 2010):

Despite my passion for art and drawing, I followed society's expectations and chose an education that supported my creative side, but was not particularly financially lucrative. However, after graduating, I realized that I could not ignore my artistic calling. I began to look for new opportunities and further deepen my passion for art. At the same time, my insatiable curiosity drove me to understand and explore the world.

Studying and expanding my creative skills (2010 - 2015):

In order to better understand the world and expand my artistic perspective, I decided to start studying natural sciences. This degree allowed me to explore the world at an atomic level and offered me a new dimension of understanding. During this time I did not neglect my artistic side. I took courses in color theory, body representation, shapes and materials that expanded my creative knowledge and technical skills. What was particularly important for me was dealing with the basic colors, which I still mix myself today and use in my works.

Artistic maturity and processing of one's own story (2015 - today):

My art developed further as I began to translate my own experiences and experiences from a difficult home into visual representations of emotions. These surrealist abstractions allowed me to express my innermost feelings and bring them out into the world. Over time, the focus of my art expanded from personal representations to an increasingly comprehensive view of the world around us.

My lifelong passion for the pursuit of knowledge is reflected in my art. Recent works explore the substantial nature of humans in the world and demonstrate the realization that we should not only consider our egos, but the complexity of the known and unknown universe. My art reveals that we are all part of a greater whole and that perception of the past, present, future and all that is living and not living is the key to understanding the appearances on canvas and paper.

With my works I want to help alleviate the suffering that individuals often express to the outside world by pointing out that we are all inextricably linked to one another. My art is an invitation to look at the world with open eyes and an open heart and to explore the beauty and complexity of our existence.

Current works and influences:

My current work is characterized by a deep examination of human history, nature, philosophy and science. I draw inspiration from a variety of influences, including the works of great thinkers, the beauty of nature, and the complexity of the human experience. My art is a constant journey of discovery and exploration, and I look forward to continuing to share this journey through my works.
